Maureen Wooten Watts, M.D.
Dr. Maureen Wooten Watts was born in Norfolk, VA
to a military family, the fourth of eight children. She graduated from
Arizona State University with a degree in
Microbiology and went to Medical School at the University of Arizona. She completed an Internal Medicine internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and did her Neurology
residency in Houston Texas at the Baylor College of
Medicine. She also did a one year fellowship in Movement Disorders and EMG
at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Watts moved to Dallas in 1990 to join Drs.
Stuart Black and Malcolm Stewart in private practice. She married R.J.
Watts, II in 1997. She has been treating patients with dystonia and other
disorders with therapeutic botulinum toxin injections since 1990. She also
has a particular interest in the treatment of migraines and headaches.
