Anwarul Haq, M.D.
Dr. Anwarul Haq is a Neurologist who specializes in Headache Medicine.
He is Board Certified in Adult Neurology. In addition he is Board
Certified in Clinical Neurophysiology, Vascular Neurology and
Neuromuscular Medicine. Dr.Haq is also a member of the Royal College of
Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Dr. Haq received his initial training in Neurology at the University of
Sheffield, United Kingdom. In addition, he completed a full residency
program in Neurology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
Center in Dallas, Texas. Because of his interest in education and
research, he then became a faculty member in the Department of Neurology
at the Dallas Veteran Administration Hospital which is part of the UT
Southwestern Neurology program. While on the faculty, he conducted
research in the area of Headache Medicine and established and directed
the first Headache Clinic at the Dallas VA Hospital.
Dr. Haq is the Medical Director of Baylor Headache Center in Dallas,
Texas. He is also the director of the Baylor hospital in-patient
Headache Service at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr Haq also holds
the position of Medical Director of the Baylor Pain Center. He is a
member of the International Headache Society and a member of the
American Headache Society. He is also an active member of the American
Academy of Neurology. His current medical practice is entirely devoted
to the care of headache patients. As a Clinical Assistant Professor in
the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School in Dallas, he remains active toward advancing the
education of younger physicians. |
